Motornomic Welcomes Alambir Meah as Chief Technology Officer
Alambir Meah joins Motornomic as CTO, to Drive Secure, Scalable Innovation
Alambir has nearly two decades of experience building complex, high-integrity digital systems across healthcare, local government, and hospitality technology.
Track Record
Before joining Motornomic, Alambir spent 19 years developing mission-critical software for the healthcare sector, including systems used daily by GPs and hospitals.
“In that environment, a single coding error could literally endanger lives. Working on prescribing and medication systems meant that everything, from user interface design to security had to be bulletproof.”
After healthcare, he spent several years in local government technology, building platforms to manage social care and other regulated public-sector services where data privacy and compliance were paramount. He also co-founded a hospitality-tech business whose ePOS and online ordering system now processes millions of pounds in monthly transactions — a testament to his ability to design scalable, high-availability platforms.
“I’ve always been fascinated by how technology can make complex systems simple and reliable. Whether it’s patient safety, civic services, payments or repair services, the principle is the same — build with trust, security, and usability at the core.”
A Passion for Simplicity, Security, and Design
Meah’s career began with an early fascination for computers.
“I grew up programming on the BBC Micro and Commodore 64. Seeing something appear on screen after hours of typing code, it was magic. That sense of creation never left me.”
At Motornomic, he’s now turning that lifelong enthusiasm into impact for our sector. His initial focus as CTO is clear:
“We’re making the platform even more scalable, secure, and seamless for garages and work providers who rely on it every day”
He’s particularly keen to evolve Motornomic’s AI-driven automation, helping garages save time and make smarter decisions. Drawing from his work on a recent fundraising-analytics platform, he highlights the importance of keeping sensitive data on-premise rather than in the cloud — something he believes could set Motornomic apart in the sector.
“Privacy and data security aren’t optional, they’re expected. By keeping customer data in-house and querying it intelligently, we can deliver insights without compromising trust.”
Design as a Signal of Quality
While Alambir is a technologist at heart, he’s equally driven by design and user experience. He’s already made visible changes to the platform interface and experience to reflect that philosophy.
“The first impression matters. If a product looks rough, people assume everything else is too. A clean, professional interface says you care about the details and that builds confidence.”
Looking Ahead
For Meah, the challenge and the excitement is in helping Motornomic become a category-defining platform for UK’s garages. As Motornomic continues to scale, his focus on team culture, data privacy, and design integrity will be central to how the platform evolves.
“We’re building something that can genuinely evolve the market. That’s what excites me—creating technology that people trust, enjoy using, and rely on every day.”
