One Year of Motornomic: From Ambition to Acceleration

⇽ Back

A year ago, Motornomic set out to do something bold: to make the automotive aftermarket more connected, more transparent, and more financially sustainable.

Twelve months on, we’re well on the way to achieving this goal, with momentum building across the sector.

What’s Happened Since Day One

In just a year, we’ve made big strides:

  • Launched and scaled our platform to hundreds of independent garages and service providers nationwide.

  • Delivered tangible financial savings — a marketplace of 30+ supplier partners, with unique deals and many thousands pounds already saved by garages. Our Motor Trade Policies particularly are proving a big hit.

  • Introduced industry-first financial tools, bringing a first-of-its-kind invoice factoring to SMR garages, helping repairers get paid faster and giving fleets, insurers and networks flexible payment options.

  • Partnered with major aftermarket brands, to power their networks and expand their member offering with increased digital efficiency and smarter data.

  • Expanded into sustainability, supporting garages and fleets in achieving ISO 14068-1 carbon certification — with success stories like QCD Revive’s accreditation being the first in the industry we know of, setting new benchmarks for environmental accountability.

  • Welcomed new leadership, including our CTO Alambir Meah, strengthening our technology capabilities and accelerating platform innovation.

An Evolving Sector

It’s clear: the UK automotive aftermarket and accident repair sector is evolving fast, this is presenting garages, bodyshops, networks, suppliers and work providers with a wealth of opportunity to tap into.

Motornomic is helping to facilitate developments in a wide range of areas by sitting at the intersection of all these stakeholders, harnessing waves of rapid technological shift, financial flexibility, and environmental accountability against an industry backdrop of increasing regulation and supply chain focus.

Our vision from day one was to make the business of running a garage easier, fairer and more profitable. This first year has been about proving that the model works, now we’re scaling it.

What’s Next?

If year one was about laying the foundations, year two is all about acceleration.

Expect to see big things:

  • The launch of new value-added modules, such as ‘Parts Genie’ and additional compliance management tools, to help garages and bodyshops keep on top of industry standards

  • Artificial Intelligence – the hot topic of the moment, at Motornomic we're already leveraging the benefits of AI to further enhance our workflows, platform, help centre and reporting. It’s already generating smart insights, adding personalisation and seamlessly boosting efficiency.

  • And of course, further exciting technology releases and rapid growth in our garage, bodyshop and work provider networks nationwide.

If you’re a garage, work provider, or partner brand in the automotive aftermarket, now’s the time to get involved.
